Yes, our little cottage is small, but it’s designed to give you and your furkids a safe and good night’s rest to ensure that you are ready to go out and experience all that this amazing town has to offer. A cosy stay for up to two adults and four dogs, located in the heart of Swellendam’s tourist zone in walking distance to many of the delicious pet-friendly restaurants and easy access to the many nature trails surrounding the town.

About Us

The Swellendogs Cottage idea was born out of a deep love for our original four furkids and our desire to expose them to a happy, healthy, natural lifestyle. Having both grown up in Johannesburg’s big city lights, we felt the strong call of the mountains and a need to live a life closer to nature. Our doggies are our furry children and bring us so much joy, especially when we can take them out into the world to explore. Being an active, outdoorsy furmily, we found Swellendam had everything we could wish for, with its trails, dams, mountains, rivers, birds and wildlife. The culture of holistic living in many of the surrounding farms and vineyards resonated with us and we just knew that this little town had connected with our souls. The many pet-friendly restaurants and activities in and around the town, were critical features for us and hope that you and your furmily will enjoy exploring some of our favorites too.
